Common questions

Who is this actually for?

Engineers who ship things. Not "aspiring" anything. If you've deployed something to production before — even a hobby project — you'll get value. If you haven't, start with the free WorkIQ Starter Repo in Products.

What does "cohort" mean here?

Cohort courses run on a fixed schedule with a small group (typically 15-25 people). We meet live, there's a Discord, there's homework. Self-paced courses have the same material, no calendar.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes — full refund within the first two weeks of a cohort, no questions asked. For self-paced courses, within 30 days of purchase.

Can my company pay for this?

Yes. I can invoice via my LLC. Email contact for a quote and terms — I usually get invoices out within a day.

What if I'm on Windows / a Mac / Linux?

The stack works on all three. I develop on Mac, teach against Linux/Windows equally. WSL2 works fine if you're on Windows.

Is this AI-generated slop?

No. I use AI heavily to draft, refactor, and explore — but every course is grounded in real production work I do at Lockstep and on my own projects. If a technique is in the course, I've shipped it.
